LeaAnn Botteicher named the 2025 Employee of the Year

The 2025 Employee of the Year was announced
and presented to LeaAnn Botteicher.
LeaAnn Botteicher serves as a Peer Support Specialist at SMSH.
Her nominator shared, “She consistently
demonstrates reliability, a strong commitment to her work, is fully dedicated to patient recovery, and has a great sense of humor that
uplifts those around her.”
Employees describe LeaAnn as genuine, compassionate, and humble. She courageously shares her life experiences with drug addiction,
incarceration, and recovery. She uses her testimony to educate others about mental illness while building meaningful connections with patients.
Her nominator also added, “Her ability to leverage her personal story to bridge gaps and build trust with patients is remarkable. She serves as a tangible example of resilience and inspires those who may feel their struggles are insurmountable. LeaAnn doesn’t just talk the talk; she walks the walk, empowering individuals to envision a path forward and actively participate in their recovery.”
LeaAnn said, “I felt very honored to receive this award. Thank you to the employees who voted for me. Remember, this job is about helping the patients we serve as they recover.”
With tears in her eyes, she accepted the award and thanked her family for always being there for her during
the hardest times. LeaAnn explained that she would not be where she is today without the love and support her
family has given her throughout her life journey.
