Legislative Lunch & Tour

South Mississippi State Hospital (SMSH) hosted Mississippi state legislators for a luncheon and tour of the facility on October 28. The event provided an opportunity to highlight the hospital’s vital role in serving the community, share important updates, and discuss its ongoing work with state legislators.

The Mississippi State Legislature plays a critical role in SMSH’s operations, holding constitutional and statutory authority related to the hospital’s establishment, funding, and operational oversight. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with legislators and reinforce the importance of the hospital’s mission
and services.
