Miss. -- Justin Garber was recently
named South Mississippi State Hospital’s second quarter 2015 Employee of the
Quarter. He began working at SMSH as an
ATTT in January 2014 while completing his nursing degree. Upon passing his nursing exam, Garber moved

Co-workers are complimentary of Garber’s compassion citing
his concern for the patients’ health and well- being.
“Justin has everything together; his shifts run smooth; his
charting and paperwork are awesome,” said a fellow nurse. “He is a team player and listens to other
staff. He is a leader on his shift, and staff members understand what is
expected of them.”
Garber, who currently resides in Covington County, is a
native of Oak Grove. He holds an
associate degree in nursing from Pearl River Community College, where he was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor
“I enjoy seeing patients come in for the first time and watch
them change for the better right before my eyes throughout our treatment
process,” said Garber.
Prior to obtaining his ADN
and coming to work at SMSH, Garber worked as a granite and marble countertop
fabrication and installation specialist.
Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and
kids, anything sports related, grilling out, and just hanging out with friends
