We have a Family Education session scheduled for Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. This is immediately following patient visitation. It will be a panel discussion with our Program Director as the lead speaker. If you have a family member who is a patient at SMSH and you would like to attend, please call 601-794-0219 the week before the meeting to RSVP.
Specific patient information should be addressed with your patient's social worker or at a separate individual family conference scheduled through your patient's social worker and/or doctor.
Recovery means something different to everyone. Recovery is a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.
The Department of Mental Health has filmed several personal stories of recovery from Mississippi Peer Support Specialists. The individuals who share their stories know the value of their lived experiences and want to inspire hope in others by sharing their personal stories.
